Most golfers aim for a smooth finish on the final hole, maybe a gentle tap-in par to wrap things up. Ryan McCormick, however, decided to give us all a show. Faced with a hole that, frankly, was just standing between him and a cold drink, McCormick decided to turn it into a personal epic of ball-flight disaster.

What unfolded wasn't so much a few golf shots as a masterclass in finding every patch of rough, hazard, and general no-go zone imaginable. Five – yes, five – tee shots went OB. It really made you wonder if the trees had developed a sudden, almost aggressive, desire to collect golf balls, or if the hole itself was just having a really, really bad day.

After finally wrestling a ball into play, McCormick proceeded to navigate the ensuing chaos with the kind of grim determination you usually only see in disaster movies. He eventually found the green, and then, with what I imagine was the profound relief of a man who’d just survived a bear attack, sank a 20-foot putt. The final score: a magnificent 13. It’s a number that doesn’t just represent strokes; it’s a philosophical statement on the futility of it all.
