Brae Burn Country Club

Some folks treat public roads like their personal NASCAR track. This one decided a swanky country club parking lot was the place to test the limits. The result? A Mercedes sedan, seemingly piloted by sheer, unadulterated dumb luck, decided to take the scenic route. Right through the pro shop.

The shaky footage shows the car easing through the entrance, even managing to stay vaguely on course for a hot second, before it apparently forgot the concept of "brakes." Then, it wove between two waiting golf carts – a move that would make Rory McIlroy sweat – before making a rather enthusiastic entrance into the building. We’ve all had rounds we’d rather forget, but this is a whole new level of escape attempt.

Inside, a couple of employees were probably contemplating the crushing weight of their daily grind. They got an unexpected introduction to the Mercedes' grille. Luckily, the injuries were minor. Because, let’s be honest, the universe clearly has a sick sense of humor when it comes to golf.

The pro shop itself, usually a sanctuary for overpriced polos and questionable swing advice, took a beating. You had to wonder if the building was still technically upright. It was. Mostly.

This whole kerfuffle at Brae Burn Country Club, a place that apparently used to see actual golf being played, is a solid reminder. Some people’s driving is more terrifying than a shanked 3-iron. The authorities are calling it “accidental operator error.” We’re calling it “just another Tuesday.”
