Well, blow me down with a 7-iron. Another LIV Golf date has gone belly-up. This time, it’s the Michigan hoedown that's been unceremoniously yanked from the calendar. Apparently, these fellas have schedules tighter than a golf shoe on a Saturday morning. Who knew they had options?
So, Tyrrell Hatton, Adrian Meronk, and Tom McKibbin have decided to bless the DP World Tour's British Masters with their esteemed presence. Because when your primary gig pulls the plug, why not swing by the old stomping grounds? It's not like the PGA Tour's grand finale is happening concurrently. Nope, that's just a happy little accident. These three are clearly just thirsting for a bit of good old-fashioned competition, or perhaps just a few quid that doesn't require a private jet and a Stetson.
And get this, Patrick Reed and Eugenio Chacarra are also slumming it on the DP World Tour, presumably hoping for a magical golf redemption arc. It’s the golfing equivalent of showing up to a wedding without an invite, but with significantly better biscuits. It just goes to prove, when one fancy, Saudi-backed golf tour slams the door in your face, another, slightly less fancy, European tour opens a window. A much smaller, significantly less lucrative window, but a window nonetheless.
