Right now, the amateur golf world is watching Kiara Romero do her thing, and it’s basically a masterclass in getting stuff done. While the rest of us are out there trying to figure out which way is up with our drives, Romero has officially snagged her LPGA card. How? By pulling off the same trick as last year and snatching the Mark H. McCormack Medal. It’s the kind of dominance that makes everyone else on the course look like they’re playing a totally different, much harder game.

She waltzed into the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway like she was heading out for her morning latte. Her highlight reel includes a tie for sixth at the U.S. Women's Open – a place where she proved the big stage is just another office she’s here to conquer. She even managed to leave the reigning Augusta National Women’s Amateur champ in the dust by a full stroke during that event. Seriously.

Her time at Oregon has been so good it’s probably giving their coaches a statistical migraine trying to manage expectations. With six individual wins and a scoring average that I bet keeps her competitors up at night, she’s long past being just a top amateur. Romero is a full-blown disruptor, just waiting for her cue to shake up the pros.

Whether she decides to jump into the professional fray right now or wait for the next season, the LPGA is getting a player who treats high-pressure situations like a casual Tuesday afternoon practice. We can only imagine the other players are currently staring at their own résumés, wondering how in the heck they’re supposed to compete with that level of sheer, unadulterated consistency.
